Honestly, there’s no other point to this post than to show off my pretty book babies. A Trial of Sparks & Kindling came in the mail a week or two ago, and I pulled out the props for a quick photoshoot. I just love the way the two books look together, and am once again blown away by the gorgeousness of the glossy covers.
I can almost guarantee another shoot with these babies, partially because I’ve grown my house plant collection (see what I did there) and my plants deserve some time in the limelight, but mostly because I can’t get enough of the look of these updated cover editions. The colours, folks. The COLOURS. Also, I get lost in the tiny elements added in Cara’s profile. Tallulah Lucy hit the redesign out of the park.

Meanwhile, many of you have reached out to ask about the release date of A Curse of Venom & Scales. Lockdown, homeschooling, and all that went with those placed the book thoroughly on the backburner. I’m still working on it, I promise, but the writing has been going slowly because life gets in the way. Adulting isn’t always easy.
I’m burning to finish ACOVAS, but I have to make a living, so I have to prioritise creating art. That said, I sincerely hope there will be more writing time in the near future. The good news is that the beta process is complete, and I’ve begun the revisions/rewrites. The bad news is that there will be substantial rewrites. This story deserves it, though And I promise you, it’s going to be awesome.
