A good clay cutter makes everything better—this is a fact every polymer clay artist learns in a hurry.
Choosing quality cutters can be a difficult task. I’ve purchased designer cutters for a pretty penny from Etsy-exclusive stores that don’t work at all, and I’ve also bought the cheapest possible cutters from random import stores that have been a blessing in my toolkit. And vice versa.
Last year, a friend recommended a brand called Keoker on Amazon. Their products tend to have overwhelmingly good reviews, so I decided to try one of their Halloween-themed stud cutter packs around the holiday. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality for the price and even received a freebie with my purchase.
So, I quickly wishlisted my favourite cutters from their store, and my husband bought me a fall-themed set as a stocking filler for Christmas. I’d like to share my thoughts about that set in today’s post.
As usual, this is not a sponsored post, and I’ve received no compensation for writing about this product. If that ever changes, I’ll let you know.
The Keoker Polymer Clay Cutters for Fall set includes ten cutters: one acorn, two squirrels (one facing left, one facing right), one elongated pumpkin, one round pumpkin, one sweater, one fall leaf, one maple leaf, one mushroom, and one owl. These cutters are around 2.5cm (1 inch) in height. At the time of writing this post, the set retailed for CAD 25.99—a bargain, IMO.
The cutters come in a cute reusable plastic container with an information card.

These cutters are sharp, have clean imprint edges, and have easy-to-hold top edges. I prefer to roll out my clay to the second thickest setting on my clay roller (2mm), and the imprint edges work perfectly at that depth. Let me tell you, it’s difficult to find cutters with imprint edges that will score the clay at 2mm!
I’ve tried all the shapes except the fall leaf, though I forgot to photograph the squirrel and acorn cutters with their unfinished clay counterparts.

I love that the left- and right-facing squirrels line up perfectly, so I could make dangling earrings with 3D squirrels. Here are some examples of what I’ve made using these cutters.

Keoker is fast becoming one of my favourite clay cutter brands. It smashes other imported products out of contention, IMO. And again, this isn’t a sponsored post. I also received another brand of cutter (also an Amazon vendor) for Christmas, and the two brands don’t compare. The other cutters are of low-quality 3D printing that marks the edges of the clay, the imprints only work on the thickest setting on my clay roller, and the cutters crumble away at the top.
If you’re looking for quality products that won’t bankrupt you, I recommend checking out the Keoker range.
Also, be a dear and check out my Foxie and the Moon Instagram page! I have loads of stock available and would seriously appreciate your support. Every clay or art purchase keeps my writing dream alive.
Until next time.
