My Glasses Broke & Other Life Snippets

Do I like change? No. And especially not while my anxiety is breaking free of its adamant prison in my head, but hey? Whatcha gonna do about it?

So, new glasses. The old ones broke so randomly I’m still not exactly sure what happened. Maybe the cold? Old age? Eh. But I think I’m mostly over the anger-misery-panic about losing them, and I’m actually pretty excited about the new ones. I’ll share a pic on my social feeds once they’re ready for collection.

Also–and this is something to celebrate while all the news is negative–my prescription hasn’t changed in the last 5 years. Despite spending my life in a dark basement, staring at a screen, my eyes are in great health. Booyah.

I’ve been working my butt off on art stuff for my patrons. I also have a brand new tier for folks who’d just like access to my drawing videos (you get to watch me draw and listen to my ramblings–win-win 😉) and the other tiers can officially expect monthly printables. The first two sticker sheets landed today! Please be a dear and check out my Patreon page? Your support means I get to keep writing my novels.

Speaking of, most of my Patreon tiers now also include behind the scenes stuff about my books. Expect character art, deleted scenes and chapters, flash fictions, short stories, and more. I’m taking requests, so please send me your burning questions!

Also, I’m writing again. It’s going slooooowly, as I have to navigate between other projects, but it makes me so happy to be with my characters again.

Meanwhile, the cold snap has ended in my corner of the world–touch wood. I mean, it’s still pretty mild out there for winter and we get to see the sun every day, which is awesome.

I just finished listening to the audiobook of This Savage Song by Victoria Schwab and I’m in love. Holy crap, this lady can write!!! Cannot wait to get my hands on the sequel.

Finally, I saw this post by Katie Abey Design on Facebook today, and it really resonates. Be kind to yourself, or at least try.
