I mentioned a while back that I’d commissioned the epic Doodleeeeeeeee to create a doodle artwork inspired by my favourite line in A Trial of Sparks & Kindling.
Doodleeeeeeeee (check out this awesome insta account) worked fast, and I got to see this artwork last weekend. And let me tell you, it blows my mind.
The quote from ATOSAK is this: Carabelle of Mordoux wasn’t a mouse. No, she was a dragon.
My only direction was that I wanted this art to resemble stained glass windows, because we all know I’m insane about those. Plus, I reckon stained glass inspired stuff and doodle art works well together. I also said I want the mouse and the dragon somehow incorporated, as if the mouse had died and the dragon were flying away.
And this is what she came up with.

Isn’t this just absolutely awesome? I’m so impressed and beyond happy with how this came out!
I plan to colour this digitally, and will share that as soon as I’m done. Meanwhile, A Trial of Sparks & Kindling will be out sometime towards the end of April/early May. I’m SO EXCITED about this book, folks.
I’ve broken 50k words on Book 3, ACOVAS, and have 23 complete chapters. Things are happening fast now. 🙂 Can’t wait to share this with you.
Thanks again Doodleeeeeeeee for being the awesome artist you are!
I have a book to write.
