Totally paraphrasing John Green there. 🙂 DFTBA, people.
Anyway.
Part One – Writing
By last Tuesday, I had five complete chapters written for Book 3. By last Friday, I’d rewritten all five. That’s all fine and dandy, but now I’m stuck on chapter 6, which I’ve rewritten no less than three times, and poor chapter 7 has been scrapped completely. Blegh.
Part Two – Wind
I don’t know what the hell is going on with this wind today, but I’m half expecting a little pigtailed girl and a dog to fly down on us in their house.
Part Three – You
This song by Wrenn (yes, it’s called You) IS STUCK IN MY HEAD. It’s just the best atmospheric music to write to. Plus, lyrics. I’m teetering on spoiler territory here, so I’m shutting up.
Part Four – Narnia
I’ve just started reading the Chronicles of Narnia again. We bought a bundle with all seven books in chronological reading order right around the time the Prince Caspian movie came out. I know I read The Magician’s Nephew, and I might have started with The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, but I’m not sure. All I can tell you for sure is that I struggled to get into it last time. This fact is no different now. I don’t know what it is, but this book just isn’t grabbing my attention.
Is it just me? Maybe it’s because I’m still on a book-hangover from Harry Potter?
Anyway, that’s all four parts. I have a novel to finish. 🙂
Yolandie.
