Lots and lots of fog. And thick. Trust us to lose one of the most impressive natural landmarks in the world in a blanket of fog.
Oh, you don’t believe me, do you? Nobody can lose a waterfall, not one that big. Luckily, I have photos as proof. 🙂
We headed out to the falls two weeks ago, giddy and excited, since we’ve wanted to go for a while now. The warmer weather was a huge motivator too, so despite being sick, we made the hour and a half drive.
We heard the waterfall’s roar long before we could actually catch a glimpse of it, but there was a kind of magic in the misty, snow-covered landscape too. We’ll definitely go back in the sunshine. You know, so we too can be awestruck by the fierce power of flowing water.
We discussed the water crisis in Cape Town often while staring at the corner of the falls we could actually see. I wish I could send just a fraction of the water from Niagara to our Capetonian friends.
Look at me, remembering to write a post on a Friday. Wow.
Thanks for stopping by. Have an awesome weekend and see you back here on Monday.
