Hello 2025

Hello 2025

It’s been a hot minute, hasn’t it? The past holiday season was one of the busiest of my life. On the eighteenth of December (aaand the nineteenth and the twentieth), we moved from Calgary to Cochrane, a sweet town about half an hour’s drive outside the city.

This move has been a dream for us, and our gratitude has only grown during the weeks we’ve lived in what I’ve lovingly dubbed ‘The Farmhouse’. The property is in a quiet suburb, neither on acreage nor on a farm. The moniker comes from the red exterior and farm-chic interior, so it feels like we’re living in a barn. And I love it.

The hubs and I are entering the fourth decade of our life this year—and how weird is it that millennials are turning forty?!—and after two immigrations and a cross-country move, we’re finally in our own home. This is my life, but it’s totally surreal.

Anyway, we’re all settled in now, so I’ll do a desk tour soon!

Meanwhile, I’d like to thank you all for sticking with my humble blog during 2024, and I’m hoping we’ll get to hang out regularly in the new year.

My blog-related goals for 2025 include:

  • More book reviews. I’ve read a bunch of really good ones and would love to share my thoughts with you.
  • I’d like to add to the Writing Emotions series.
  • More art-related posts.
  • Writing-related posts, so we can all learn and hone our craft together.

If you’d like me to blog about anything specific, don’t hesitate to contact me. I love hearing from you!

Here’s to an awesome 2025.

Until next time.

Yolandie
