Farewell, Rome.

On our last day, we had to leave the apartment by 10. Since we had to keep our luggage with us until we left for the airport, we decided to treat the kids. They’d been such little troopers with all the sightseeing, after all.

So, we found this amazing science/activity centre where kids can play and interact with a wide variety of educational stuff. They learned a lot through play, but they weren’t the only ones who had fun. Those of us over 30 were just as excited. 🙂 If you ever find yourself in Rome with kids (or without), the Explora centre is amazing.

There’s also a fabulous little pizza restaurant in the complex, so after you’ve, I mean your kids, have had their fun, sit down for a bite at Pizzeria Da Michele.

Anyway, this last day was one of our favourites. Despite not seeing all the sights, having the kids so happy made it completely worthwhile. Also, the pizza. Lo-ve-ly.

And with that, I’m leaving you. I’ll be back on Friday with our return-to-Germany-post. Have a good day!
