Hello there.
You may have noticed that things look a little different here. This is due to a bout of website-altering creativity that took me by surprise during the week. I was never completely satisfied with the way things looked on the website, but I’m glad to report that I feel a lot better about all of it now. So, please, jump around the site and let me know what you think, where it can improve and what you like. Also, stick around to the end of the post for some announcements.
Week 9’s hero looks like this:
And our story will go down this way.
If you’re new here, this is where the story cube challenge started, back in Week 1. Otherwise, you can see last week’s cubes here and follow this Pinterest board for every week’s story cubes in one place.
OK, now for the announcements. Some of you may know that I got back my editor‘s notes for The Physician’s Apprentice last weekend. If you didn’t know that, well, you do now. I’m overwhelmed by the positive response and SUPER EXCITED that I get to ADD words. So, obviously, you’re talking to writer-Yolandie at the moment. And all of us know how crazy she is.
Right now, I’m prepping for the revision of TPA and I’m worrying about all kinds of things regarding book 2 of the Salamander Series. I’m also working on a short story that I’m going to submit for an anthology – deets on that if I get selected. At the same time, I’m prepping for Nanowrimo. To add to all of this, I’m going to attempt Inktober. No, I don’t have room for more on my plate, thank you.
What does all of that mean? Well, it means that I’ll continue to post the story cubes on Fridays, but I probably won’t be writing stories to post as well. I have too many other things going on in the background. If I do manage a story in a week, you’ll still see it.
My last administrative detail (ooh, don’t I sound important) is that Monday is Reunification Day in Germany, so I won’t post something then. I will do a Photo Diary post on Tuesday to make up for it.
That’s it! Have a good weekend, folks!
Yolandie
